Launching of the Orquesta Universal

My artistic and intellectual curiosity has allowed me to explore a wide variety of musical genres ranging from purely symphonic, opera, musical theater, ballet, zarzuela, pop, and Latin American music. That’s why I am immensely excited to take on the musical direction of the new Universal Orchestra, created by the production company Universal Entertainment, headed by the well-known artist and entrepreneur Arnoldo Castillo and his producer Andrea Martínez.

On March 13th, a concert and press conference were held to launch this new orchestra. It is a pop orchestral proposal with a high level of production that adds to the wide range of cultural and entertainment options in the country. The concert took place behind closed doors at the Melico Salazar Popular Theater with the participation of talented young Costa Rican artists and the Spanish singer “El Bomba”.

The Universal Orchestra is made up of musicians from the Universal Entertainment roster along with a large number of musicians with extensive orchestral experience, as they are part of the country’s symphony orchestras, such as the National Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Costa Rica, the Symphony Orchestra of Heredia, and the Concert Bands of San José, Cartago, Heredia, and Alajuela.
