This event brought together renowned national and international saxophone experts, creating a unique and enriching musical experience.<\/p>\n
Among the distinguished musicians who participated in this event were my dear friends from Sonsax, Javier Valerio, Harold Guill\u00e9n, Arturo Castro, and Pablo Sand\u00ed, as well as the talented international artists Anna Marie Wytko, Greg Osborn, and Josh Quinlan from the United States, and the CAOVVA Quartet from Colombia, comprised of Esneider Valencia, Javier Ocampo, Cesar Villamil, and Agustin Castro.<\/p>\n
The concert program was an exquisite blend of classical saxophone pieces, vibrant jazz melodies, and two emblematic works by Costa Rican composers: “Danzas de Pasi\u00f3n y Desd\u00e9n” by maestro Andr\u00e9s Soto, which I had the honor of premiering in 2019 with the OSUCR, and the highly anticipated world premiere of “Kaw\u00e1” for saxophone octet and symphony orchestra, created by the creative mind of Nelson Ram\u00edrez. These works are a testament to the talent and musical diversity that characterize our region, deserving a prominent place on the international stage.<\/p>\n
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the organizers of the Sax Fest for their impeccable work in creating such an enriching event, and to all the participants who made possible a night filled with great music, art, and learning. Events like this are essential for promoting culture and artistic talent, and I am grateful to have been part of this unique experience.<\/p>\n
